- Project costs depend on the scope, existing conditions, layout changes and material selections. We provide a detailed written estimate after reviewing your project.
- Building season is April to November. Spring starts are booked early in the year.
- Decks over a certain height and some fences require a permit. We confirm what applies at the estimate.
Questions we get
Cedar or composite?
Cedar costs less up front and needs staining; composite costs more and does not. We can price both in your estimate.
Do you handle the permit?
We tell you what is needed and prepare what the city asks for. The permit is issued in your name.
Can you match my neighbour's fence?
In most cases. Bring a photo to the site visit.
Do you do interlocking and retaining walls?
Yes. Interlocking, retaining walls and exterior steps are estimated on their own or as part of a deck or fence project.
About this service
A deck is a small building. It needs proper footings, the right fasteners and drainage that works. We build decks, exterior stairs, privacy screens, fences and gates in pressure-treated, cedar or composite, and we remove the old structure on the way. Interlocking, retaining walls and exterior steps are built on their own or as part of the same project.
